Recent research demonstrates that Hispanic or Latino leaders reach middle management faster than other groups but are challenged to make the transition to executive positions. In fact, despite being the fastest growing talent pool in the U.S., Latinos represent a tiny fraction of “C-level” executives in corporate America. This represents a fundamental problem not only for corporations seeking to serve the fast-growing Latino market, but also for our entire country’s economic prosperity as a critical and valuable talent segment remains untapped for key leadership positions. The National Hispanic Corporate Council's Corporate Executive Development Program (NHCC-CEDP) seeks to address this issue.
The NHCC-CEDP program will accelerate development of Hispanic managers into senior corporate positions by helping the individual and corporation close the gap in talent development. The program, conducted over 12 months, provides special insight to be excised and leveraged for success. The NHCC-CEDP participants will have comprehensive support from faculty, course advisor, assigned mentor and accountabilities at many levels.
NHCC-CEDP is designed to produce immediate impact for both the participants attending the program as well as their sponsoring corporations.
