Jose "Pepe" Estrada (Chair)

José (Pepe) Estrada is Director of Hispanic Markets for the Office of Diversity in Walmart Stores, Inc. Pepe joined the Walmart Stores, Inc. in June of 2004. In his new role Pepe and his team are building and strengthening relationships between Walmart and the Hispanic community in the US. Before Walmart, Pepe managed State Farm's Public Relations with the Hispanic community.

In that capacity, he shaped State Farm's outreach strategy for the emerging markets in the US. During his tenure, State Farm has been recognized by various community groups for its efforts to further the economic development of the Hispanic community.

Yolanda Medina Casey is Project Manager in the Visual Merchandising Division for Hallmark Cards, Inc. in Kansas City, Missouri. She is responsible for managing numerous teams in the revitalization of the corporate owned stores. This entails product assortment, merchandising of product, environmental graphics and marketing. Yolanda also serves as the liaison for the company to numerous Hispanic initiatives both internal and external.

Salvador Mendoza is responsible for providing visionary leadership to a multifaceted organization including: establishing plans, reviewing policies, evaluating, developing & implementing programs, and building partnerships with local and national organizations.

Sal works cross-functionally to align and integrate Hyatt's diversity & inclusion initiatives into the company's goal of being the preferred brand for Employees, Guests and Owners.   He ensures that all diversity & inclusion programs reflect the principles of diversity in Hyatt's management and operation in such areas as recruitment, staffing, sales & marketing, employee/labor relations, learning & development, supplier diversity, new hotel development and communications.  Among the many accomplishments as head of the D&I Department, the company's supplier diversity program reached an impressive 23% expenditure with minority and women owned vendors at the end of 2009. 

Active in industry affairs, Mendoza is Vice-Chair of the American Hotel and Lodging Association Multicultural Advisory Council, member of the National Hispanic Corporate Council Board of Directors, member of the American Hotel & Lodging Foundation's Board of Trustees and Scholarship Committee, member of Governors Sate University President's Advisory Council and the College of Business Advisory Board, Chicago State University's Foundation Board and College of Business Advisory Board.  He received a B.S. from Chicago State University and M.S. from Governors State University.  Sal currently resides in Chicago with his wife Nina and children Vivian and Daniel.

Jaime Morales (Treasurer)

Jaime Morales currently serves as Regional Marketing Manager on Allstate's New York Regional Market Operating Committee (MOC).  The MOC is accountable for driving business strategy and managing P&L results for the New York Region.

In his role as Regional Marketing Manager, Jaime is responsible for Allstate's property-casualty insurance marketing operations in New York.  He is focused on delivering sales results and turn-key marketing programs in collaboration with 40 Sales Leaders, on behalf of 930 New York Allstate Agents.  Year-to-date 2010, Jaime's marketing programs have generated a 35% increase in quoting volume, over 22,000 sales, and $26 million dollars in premium for Allstate New York.

Prior to his current position, Jaime managed multiple marketing teams and progressed through a series of special assignments within Allstate's Marketing and Sales Departments.

Jaime is also President of the Professional Latino Allstate Network (PLAN).  Under his leadership and business case development, PLAN has become Allstate's first official Business Resource Group among 8 other Allstate Employee Network Groups (ENGs). As a BRG, PLAN is now in a unique position to harness our Latino cultural insights and collective experience toward driving business results for the organization.  PLAN is also focused on delivering professional development programs to PLAN members.  Through his networking ability, Jaime recently obtained two Senior Executive Sponsors for PLAN: Joe Lacher (President Allstate Protection) and Mark LaNeve (Chief Marketing Officer Allstate Protection).  Jaime also serves on Allstate's Enterprise Diversity Leadership Council (EDLC) Subcommittee.  Members of the EDLC serve as diversity change agents in support of Allstate's Diversity Inclusion strategy.

Jaime received his BS in Marketing and Human Resources from DePaul University and MBA from University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC).  He also has his Property and Casualty Insurance License from the Illinois Department of Insurance.

Jaime is married to wife Tali.  He is a proud father to son Dakota (15 years of age) and daughter Natalie (11 years of age).  Jaime served as coach and manager for youth soccer and travel baseball for over 8 years.

Carolynn Brooks

Carolynn Brooks currently serves as Vice President, Chief Diversity Officer for OfficeMax. Ms. Brooks provides the strategic direction for Workforce Diversity, Supplier Diversity, Workforce Compliance and Community Relations. She is chairman of the OfficeMax Diversity Council and President of the OfficeMax Charitable Foundation.

Ms. Brooks joined OfficeMax in 2001 in human resource and helped drive the integration of the merger and consolidation of OfficeMax and Boise Cascade. In 2006, Ms. Brooks was promoted to Vice President and Chief Diversity Officer to create a culture of inclusion and a dynamic work environment that promotes diverse perspectives and solutions to help our customers do their best work. Under her leadership, the OfficeMax Diversity Council oversees the strategic plans, metrics and practices that make diversity and inclusion a business imperative.

Ms. Brooks also led in the creation and launch of OfficeMax Associate Resource Groups in 2008. These associate led-groups were developed to help OfficeMax promote broader associate understanding and appreciation of diverse experiences and perspectives. She also oversees OfficeMax's community outreach to ensure that the company expands into the communities where we do business through our associate volunteer program and community outreach.

In 2009, Ms. Brooks was awarded the Diversity Officer Leadership Award by Diversity Best Practices in Washington, DC for her focus and innovative work to grow and strengthen outstanding diversity and inclusion programs. The National Diversity Council named Ms. Brooks as one of the recipients of the 2010 Most Powerful and Influential Women of Illinois for her leadership excellence, commitment to the community and her accomplishments in diversity and inclusion. Ms Brooks has recently been recognized and profiled in Diversity Business Journal as a 2011 Executive Woman Worth Watching.

Ms. Brooks attended Howard University and is a Board member for the Chicago Metropolitan YWCA and on the Board of National Hispanic Corporate Council (NHCC) and she serves on the national Diversity Best Practices Leadership Council l. She is a former member of Du Page County Workforce Board and the Board of Exceed Financial Credit Union.

Abe Carrillo

Abe Carrillo has worked at Herman Miller for the past 14 years, primarily in finance, sales operations, and credit services, including the Director of credit services for five years.  Over the past year, Carrillo has served as the Director for Inclusiveness & Diversity focused on driving the company's inclusiveness strategy.  Prior to Herman Miller, he spent three years working in the banking industry. Carrillo earned his Undergraduate Business degree from Grand Valley State University and MBA from Western Michigan University.  Carrillo also serves on the Board of LAUP (Latin Americans United for Progress), a Holland, Michigan non profit organization focused on adult education and youth development in the Latino community.  He is the proud son of first generation Mexican immigrants.

He lived in Mexico for five years and is fluent in Spanish.  Currently, he resides in West Michigan with his wife Ana and their three children, Javier, age 11, Aime, age 6, and Evan, age 1.  Abe enjoys sports, the outdoors, and spending time with his family.

Milton A. Dellossier

Milton Dellossier is the Regional Diverse Segments manager for Wells Fargo Home Mortgage.

He has overall responsibility for creating, directing and implementing regional and local marketing plans to develop a significant market share in ethnic minority and communities with low and moderate-income homebuyers. He also is the charitable contributions manager for the Wells Fargo Housing Foundation.

Dellossier relocated from Juarez, Mexico to the United States in 1999 to complete a degree in Business Management from Arizona State University. He is currently enrolled in the MBA program at University of Phoenix. Starting his banking career with Wells Fargo Financial in 2001, in 2002 became a Wells Home Mortgage Consultant, and was named the Regional Diverse Segments Manager in 2004.

He serves on the board of directors of the Arizona Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, the Arizona State University Hispanic Business Alumni, Community Housing Resources of Arizona, the Arizona Foreclosure Prevention Taskforce and the Hispanic Women's Corporation. Also serves on the marketing committee for the National Hispanic Corporate Council and is Chair for the 2011 Valley Leadership Man & Woman of the year luncheon. He is also a board member of the Wells Fargo Reputation Risk Management Team, and the Wells Fargo Latin Connection Employee Resource Group.

Dellossier was recognized as the 2008 Big Brother of the Year by the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Arizona.

Maruiel Perkins-Chavis

Maruiel Perkins-Chavis is currently Vice President, Workforce Effectiveness and Diversity for Marriott International, Inc. In this role, she is responsible for establishing the strategic direction, development, implementation and management of company-wide workforce diversity and work-life initiatives.

She was previously Senior Director, Leadership Development responsible for talent acquisition, leadership development and retention strategies. In this role, she was involved in the implementation of Marriott International's enterprise-wide leadership development initiatives, with a specific focus on strategies and programs to identify and develop women and minority leadership talent. She was instrumental in the design and execution of the Leadership Education Series, Women and Minority Leadership Talent Development Inventory, Leadership Development Workshops and Executive On-Boarding Program.

Ms. Perkins-Chavis has over twenty-five years experience in the human resources area with expertise in staffing, leadership development, diversity, equal employment opportunity and affirmative action.

She began her career as a human resources generalist in the high tech industry and has spent more than fourteen years in the specialty of equal employment opportunity and affirmative action in various industries. She joined Marriott in 1990, as a Senior EEO Representative. Her Marriott EEO/AA career led to the promotion of Manager, Affirmative Action Compliance in 1991 and Director, Equal Opportunity and Program Development in 1993.

Carolina Pulido

Carolina Pulido, is the Manager of Learning for Delhaize America, a $19B revenue leading supermarket operator in the United States with over 1,500 stores in 16 states in the eastern United States. Belgian food retailer Delhaize "Le Lion" is the holding company for its growing number of US supermarket subsidiaries; operating under the banners Food Lion, Bloom, Bottom Dollar Food, Harveys, Reid's, Hannaford Bros. and Sweetbay. In her role she is responsible for providing strategic leadership and direction to the Food Lion Family and Delhaize America Learning teams, including strategic project intake, resource planning/allocation, skills training, career development, and performance management.

Carolina's previous role in the company was in Talent Acquisition, where she was instrumental in creating strategic comprehensive recruiting processes and procedures for all corporate functions in the company. Prior to joining Food Lion in 2008, she owned an executive search firm that specialized in acquiring diverse talent for several industries in the Charlotte area.

She's originally from Colombia S.A. and has been in the US for 12 years. Carolina holds a Bachelor Degree in Business and a minor in Psychology from Universidad de la Sabana in Bogota, Colombia S.A.

She has participated actively in several professional and non profit organizations as Board member of the National Hispanic Corporate Council, former Board member of the Diversity Council of the Carolinas; founder and former President of the National Society for Hispanic Professionals – Charlotte Chapter, and member of ALPFA.

Edgar provides consultation and guidance to multicultural staff associations to enhance & leverage the cultural knowledge & expertise of the workforce to improve Kaiser Permanente's competitive position in the market. He collaboratively leads efforts to increase cultural competence of the workforce to enhance skills, productivity, and customer service.

A native of San Francisco, California Edgar has over 25 years of experience in working with Bay Area hospitals and health services organizations. Included in Edgar's diverse experiences, is a 2 year international assignment in Spain, where he led an international team tasked to build a country-wide infrastructure for board band wireless technology.
Edgar has a Masters Degree in Public Health Planning, Policy & Administration from the University of California at Berkeley. He earned his BA degree from SF State University, majoring in Ethnic Studies & Social Welfare, including a year of studies abroad at La Universidad Ibero-Americana in Mexico City. He graduated with honors, Magna Cum Laude.

Since joining Kaiser Permanente in 1986, Edgar has held various management and leadership positions with Program Offices National Functions, Northern California Regional Offices and the San Francisco, Napa/Solano, and East Bay service areas.

Nora Venegas

Director, Federal Government Relations

Nora Venegas joined Tyson Foods, Inc. in December 2002. As director of federal government relations, she monitors and lobbies on federal nutrition, labor, health care and immigration policy.  She also manages Tyson outreach to the Congressional Hispanic Caucus and the Congressional Black Caucus.    Nora serves on the LULAC corporate advisory board and Women's Commission. She also helps coordinate Tyson Political Action Committee activities.

Prior to joining Tyson Foods, Inc., Nora worked at SBC Communications in their Federal Government Relations department. She has also worked at the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute/CHCI as a liaison between the Board of Directors and CHCI sponsors.  Before moving to D.C, Nora was a middle school Math teacher in Texas. Nora is a graduate of Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio, TX.

Nora resides in Washington, D.C. with her husband Joe and son Jorge Andres.
