Market Health & Wellness Director - Market Health & Wellness
Participant in Classs of 2012
I am currently a Market Health & Wellness Director for Walmart in the
Ft Lauderdale, Fl area. I have been with the company for 10 years. I
started with Walmart as Pharmacy Manager in Kissimmee, Fl. I was
there for 5 years. In May 2006 I was promoted to Pharmacy District
Manager in Puerto Rico. At that time Puerto Rico was part of
Walmart International. While there, we opened several new
pharmacies and launched the $4 Generics Program in Puerto Rico.
In April 2010 I was promoted to my current position of Market Director
in South Florida.
I was born in Bayamon, Puerto Rico and graduated in 1999 from
University of PR, School of Pharmacy. Prior to finishing Pharmacy
School, I was hired by Eckerd Drugs. They moved me to the
Orlando/Kissimmee, Fl area after graduation. I was with them as
Pharmacy intern and then as staff pharmacist for 2 years, until I was
hired by Walmart for their new supercenter in Kissimmee.
I have been married for 16 years. We met in high school. We have 2
daughters: Sabrina (14) & Kiara (12). They were both born while I
was in Pharmacy School. Outside of work, I like to spend time with
my family, read, shop and travel. We are also involved in our
daughters’ school & cheerleading activities.
I really enjoyed my time at Phase 1, especially meeting all of the other great members of the
class and the staff. It was a great experience to be able to participate in the training outside of
my company. It gave me a whole other perspective.
