The Hispanic community is not only the largest, minority group in America, it is the youngest. Its median age is under 26 years with 6.6% ranging in age from 14-17 years. NHCC is committed to promoting the contributions of Hispanics in corporate America to Hispanic youth. We stress the importance of education in their personal development and in meeting their goals and career potential.
2010 Census data revealed that Hispanics are the largest minority group and fastest growing segment of the American population. Yet they have the highest high school dropout rates and lowest college attendance of all major ethnic groups.
In our effort to strengthen the Latino pipeline in corporate America, NHCC will be partnering with universities and colleges in it's first-ever In-School Program-College Edition. NHCC will be connecting a pool of highly talented college students with NHCC member volunteers. Panel discussions will address the need and responsibility of corporate America to engage talent at all levels to sustain the pipeline.
