At HP, talent is our criteria. Join us in reinventing the standard for diversity and inclusion. Bring your awesomeness, and just be you!
At HP, we imagine the future and make it happen. HP is committed to embedding diversity and inclusion into everything we do - to drive business success, foster an inclusive workplace and create a high performing culture.
Our Board of Directors is recognized as the most diverse Board of any US tech company. Our executive team includes women holding positions of CHRO, CFO and Chief Legal Counsel. Our employees are driving business impact through a growing network of Business Impact Networks (BINs), which have more than doubled since HP’s separation. We conduct industry diversity benchmarking for an unbiased view, and value the notable recognition we’ve earned.
But we’re just getting started!
As part of this commitment, we are investing in a team member to partner with talent acquisition and workforce planning to lead the development, strategy and delivery of HP’s diversity hiring partnerships and programs. HP is reinventing the standard for diversity and we are committed to provide inclusive solutions that will embed diversity into all of our hiring practices.
We are looking for someone with a track record of strong leadership and influencing skills who can develop a compelling diversity and inclusion recruiting vision, in partnership with the global diversity team, talent acquisition team, workforce planning, business leaders, hiring managers, external partners and other key stakeholders. The ideal candidate must also possess the ability to translate that vision into a strategy and actionable plan, driving execution with minimal guidance, deliver amazing events, communications, and employee experiences that demonstrate HP’s unique culture.
Who we’re looking for:
If you can envision a workforce where people are able to bring all of who they are into work each and every day; a place where equality and equity are valued; where your passion for change along with your ability and agility to be a part of that change thrives daily, this may be the role for you. Does the opportunity to create something innovative and new excite you?
You’ll strategize but roll of your sleeve to make things happen in this role. You’ll leverage your strong experience in talent acquisition, solid understanding of diversity trends and best practices, and demonstrated project management skills to drive systems and processes that will continue to grow HP’s diverse talent pipeline.
You’ll bring thought leadership, as well as established relationships with key channels and organizations, to help drive success. Your strong project management skills and ability to deliver results will support development of new procedures or refining of what’s already in place to best deliver in the role.
You’ll drive HP’s event participation, leverage your strong experience in coordinating large meetings, logistics, operations, and communications to ensure HP’s conference experiences are like no other! You have a reputation for getting things done, have incredible intuition, and put it to use by being proactive, highly productive, and keeping cool under pressure. You know how to share your views at all levels, influence decision making and support a shared team goal. Once the plan is set, you know how to effectively inform your stakeholders at all levels, with different needs and from different cultures. You’ve already built a following on social media and know how to leverage a variety of channels to reach people.
This position requires a high degree of accountability, flexibility, and passion for the value that diversity brings to the bottom line.
This is a role that works across business groups to support the global diversity needs of HP. It requires a skilled communicator; able to influence and negotiate without direct authority.
- High level of cultural competence and ability to build targeted programs to attract diverse candidates
- Strong team player and collaborative agent for change
- Ability to partner and build strong relationships within the business and across organizations to get things done
- Outstanding organizational skills and ability to project manage from strategy through execution, preferable in industry events and conferences
- Strong critical thinking skills
- Ability to understand business priorities and needs and translate into actionable plans
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; with demonstrated ability to influence key stakeholders and build employee engagement
- Strong passion for diversity & inclusion
- Knowledge of campus-based diversity programs
- Bachelor degree required
- 2-3 years of experience in recruiting or talent acquisition, ideally focused on diverse talent
