Our ultimate objective is to drive consumer demand, visitation and revenue goals for the Walt Disney World Resort. The Marketing Strategy team achieves this goal by developing strategies and communication plans to reach and influence the consumer mindset and behavior including desire to take a Disney vacation, visit during a specific season, reach a special consumer segment, stay in a Walt Disney World Resort, and purchase a Walt Disney World ticket.
The marketing strategist in this role works with Consumer Insight and Marketing Analytics, Revenue Management and Analytics, Operations and Commercial Strategy to determine business needs. In this role, you will be responsible for developing a consumer strategy, as well as leading a cross-discipline team including Public Affairs, Advertising, Media, CRM, Digital and Relationship Marketing to develop a creative campaign and communication plan that is maximized to deliver on Disney brand, consumer needs and business goals.
Develop marketing strategies to deliver business objectives
Develop strategic input to drive marketing plan development
Lead communication plan development across a cross functional team
Evaluate campaign creative
Monitor, evaluate and analyze business performance
Understand new media landscape and capabilities
Work with Consumer Insight team to deeply understand audience opportunities, motivators and barriers
Work with Revenue Management & Analytics, Consumer Insight and Marketing Analytics, Commercial Strategy and Operations to identify business needs
Monitor and manage multi-million dollar program budget
Develop after action reviews
5 - 10 years of relevant work experience
Demonstrated technical marketing skills to develop strategic input, business cases and marketing communication plans
Demonstrated experience in strategic planning and project management
Demonstrated leadership with cross functional teams
Exceptional partnership and relationship skills
Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining cross function relationships
Demonstrated ability to interpret data analyses and draw marketing implications from research and consumer insight
Exceptional presentation skills
Demonstrated strong ability to influence others
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong attention to detail
Experience managing budgets
Previous experience with national level campaigns
Acculturated Hispanic candidate with experiences working on the Hispanic segment and fluency Spanish.
Previous experience planning and implementing go to market programs deploying micro segmentation and advanced digital targeting capabilities
Previous experience with product development and new product launches
Previous work experience in marketing strategy, consumer packaged goods (CPG), advertising agency, brand management (Internal only: Pricing, Industrial Engineering, Premium Services, Operations, Finance
Bachelors degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or Equivalent
MBA or Masters of Management
