“For nearly 40 years, the National Hispanic Corporate Council has been a trusted advisor to U.S. companies, helping them develop effective strategies targeting the Latino segment.” These words from Eduardo Arabu, executive director of the NHCC, sum up the impact of this organization since its creation in 1985.
Founded by and for the corporate sector, this entity has become an indispensable resource for Fortune 1000 companies, helping them design effective strategies with a clear focus on the dynamic Hispanic segment in the United States.
Essentially, the NHCC provides critical insight into the growing Hispanic community, comprised of more than 62 million people and a Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of more than $3 trillion.
“As a leading resource for advancing this segment, our organization convenes business leaders to connect, learn, share and network through thought leadership, best practices, strategies and implementation resources,” explains Arabu, while highlighting the essential purpose of optimizing corporate performance and business competitiveness.
NHCC initiatives include platforms such as The Latino DEI Collective, The Latino Executive Accelerator Program, and collaborations with The Consortium of Latino Employee Organizations. Additionally, the institution organizes annual events, regional events, and convened leader series to provide spaces for learning and the creation of strategic connections.
In parallel, it also works to integrate Latino talent into multiple levels of business success. “NHCC’s approach combines executive leadership with collaborations in DEI and Employee Resource Groups (ERGs), integrating Hispanic talent, community relations, strategies with Latino suppliers and consumers,” Arabu points out.
In its nearly four decades of existence, this organization has reaffirmed itself as a key ally for companies that not only seek to grow, but also connect and empower Latino communities in an increasingly diverse and inclusive corporate landscape.
With a board of directors comprised of renowned leaders at Fortune 1000 companies, the NHCC “continues to lead the conversation on how to integrate Latino talent, diversity and innovation into American corporate success,” Arabu concludes.
